The Tower of London supports so many charity events, whether in the Chapel Royal, around the buildings or in the Moat.
……This annual occasion supports the work of the charity Livability and its Chief Executive, Dave Webber, is the other main guest. Regular members of the congregation and visitors are joined by staff and supporters of Livability, a Christian charity which engages ‘disability and community’.
During the service, the Chief Executive quietly, yet with great compassion, addressed the continuing work of the charity, deeply appreciative of the support given by the Lord Mayor and the Chapel (this is the nineteenth year at the Tower).
Dave Webber also commented:
The heritage and history of St Peter ad Vincula, the exceptional music, choir and the uplifting spirit of the congregation is very special for us. This event provides a valuable higher profile and [the opportunity] to engage with a wide group of people for prayer and sharing our charity’s message. As a charity founded firmly on Christian ethos and principles, we are immensely grateful to the Governor and Chaplain for the privilege to be part of the life of the chapel and this very special place.
